    Stylish Gibson Ultratone 7-string lap steel guitar with the well-known P-90 soap BAR pickup with the black plastic bobbin. Full functioning stylish old lady delivering classic slide notes and much more. Rare and in excellent condition and all original including Lifton case.

    The Gibson Ultratone 7-string Lap Steel is pretty rare since only around 50 have been made in this configuration. Classic Art-Deco design with. The electronic is untouched, including the orig. Gibson P-90 pickup with 7 adjustable pole pieces. It is fitted with one volume and two tone controls to broaden the range of tonal sound. She sounds awesome! Comes with an awesomely clean original Lifton brown hardshell case w/pink lining.

    The earliest documented performance with an electrically amplified guitar was in 1932, by Gage Brewer. The Lap Steel, Dobro and Pedal Steel guitar are associated most closely with Hawaiian music, country music and bluegrass, though some players have used them in rock music, jazz, blues, and other musical genres.
