This Froggy Bottom SJ Deluxe Sunburst is a very powerful slope shoulder dread. The Mahogany and Adirondack Spruce together make for a magical combination. With all the versatility one would be right to expect from this legendary silhouette, this guitar takes whatever you throw at it with zeal. From soft fingerpicking to heavy flatpicking, She really sings all the way through a huge dynamic range. The slender Mahogany neck is comfortable and easy to play, with delightful fretting on the Ebony fingerboard. She presents a singing sustain on top of a wonderful voice, regardless of your style. An LR Baggs Anthem SL is also fitted for stage or studio work.
Gibson’s Southerner Jumbo was made famous by country music icon Hank Williams Sr. Early models of these short scale, round-shouldered dreadnoughts are sought after and in recent years have become extremely popular, and their value has soared. Since 2010 the SJ is the most popular full-sized guitar in the Froggy Bottom range. This guitar is in excellent condition. Only a few minor dings, that’s it.
