The Martin 000-28VS draws inspiration from some of Martin’s most revered vintage guitars. These beautiful instruments give guitarists the opportunity to experience the sound and feel of Martin’s most sought after vintage instruments without breaking the bank. With a slightly longer Auditorium body and slotted head, the 000-28VS is a re-creation of a Martin classic. Acoustic guitarists favor the smaller 000-size body and the D-28 appointments of this slope shouldered delight. The smaller body size with 12 frets to the body helps to create a unique voice, and deliver a lighter, more delicate feel on the guitar strings.
The Vintage Series was CFM’s first coordinated effort to offer reasonably priced Standard series with authentic pre-war appointments, albeit with modern post-war “improvements.” For many of us who became Martin owners choose the Vintage Series until the Authentic and Golden Era series came along. Built with the same great Martin quality that all of their acoustic guitars are crafted with, the 000-28vs is made with a premium Sitka Spruce top, Indian Rosewood back and sides and a genuine Mahogany neck. Using the standard “X” scalloped pattern in the top bracing, this guitar delivers a powerful projection of the sound and is a lot of fun to play any style you like!
