This wonderful instrument is a 2020 Goodall Concert Jumbo build with Mastergrade Sitka Spruce and Indian Rosewood. She’s a wonderful versatile instrument great for fingerstyle guitar but can handle strumming and flat picking too.
This Goodall Concert Jumbo comes with not only a fantastic Mastergrade Sitka Spruce top with Bearclaw figuring. This makes the top a bit stiffer than regular Sitka Spruce. The East Indian Rosewood used for back and sides is straight-grained with nice dark coloring around the center. The binding is upgraded with highly figured Koa which is rounded edges and feels very comfortable to the upper arm. The neck is a nice c-shape and if very easy to play. Your fingers find their way quite easily across the Ebony fingerboard. With little pressure the notes just jump out with lots of overtones and awesome sustain. Balanced is probably the best word to describe the sound impression. She is also equipped with a K&K Mini Pure pickup system. Simple but high quality.
James Goodall has been manufacturing high-quality, hand-built acoustic guitars since 1972. The Concert Jumbo model was born in 1998 in response to increasing requests for a more comfortable, smaller body dimension than the Goodall Standard (close to a D shape). The Concert Jumbo offers a powerful, rich, and clear tone. Since the CJ model retains the large acoustic soundboard area of the Standard or Dreadnought, while increasing comfort and curvy visual appeal, this model has become a favored size for many Goodall Guitar owners. She is in excellent condition. No dings, scratches or whatsoever. Just some lightly visible play marks on the clear pickguard. A beauty in every sense of the word!
