This Santa Cruz OM is delightfully versatile and resonates even with the lightest touch and produces magic notes! She is lightweight (1.8 kg / 3.96 lbs) and provides clean, loud mid-range and warm trebles that are complimented by a solid and sweet sounding bass. Deeply appreciated for fingerstyle and contemporary flat picking work, the OM is their number one request. By adhering to the principles of physics and the tried and true practices of lutherie, SCGC guarantees the most sophisticated instrument of its kind. Richard and his skilled team assure maximum sustain and complexity of overtones and maintain consistency of balance and tone. To accommodate the subjective nature and personal requirements of EQ, tone and presence, SCGC offer their considerable talents to deliver exactly what you need in a custom instrument.
This Santa Cruz OM is build with the classic combination of master grade European Spruce and a beautiful set of East Indian Rosewood for the back and sides. The top is structured with the vintage-style “advanced” X-bracing build from Adirondack and constructed with Hot Hide Glue. The Mahogany neck has a slight V shape and terminates with a volute behind the headstock. It’s capped with an ivoroid bound fingerboard that has small Abalone dot inlays and black side markers. The guitar is adorned with a herringbone purfling back strip. An Ivoroid rosette surrounds the slightly smaller-than-normal 3 3/4-inch soundhole. Construction is predictably first-class, with quality materials everywhere. Top-notch tonal qualities put this babe where she belongs: the absolute top of the line!
