Beautiful Santa Cruz H with a unique flavor that somehow oozes a “vintage” vibe. She features a complex tone with a warm and powerful bell like high notes with that unmistakable Rosewood low end. Richard Hoover and this team know how to build high-end acoustics.
This Santa Cruz H is a versatile and resonant 00-sized guitar with 14 frets to the body, rewarding the player with magic notes! Long an honored presence in the Santa Cruz collection, the 1930s inspired H Model joined the SCGC catalog in 1977. Opting to be favored by natural selection, SCGC presented the now standard 14 frets to the body configuration to an audience that valued the additional 2-fret access on such a classic, vintage body.
Most players are astonished when they play the Santa Cruz H for the first time. Its volume is startling for a small-bodied guitar. The body’s depth allows for a much larger presence than would be expected in an instrument of its size. The guitar’s balanced hand voicing gives the H a precise response at every fretboard position. This model is highly recommended for those who prefer the sweetness and ease of playing a small guitar but require more comfort and volume.
This Santa Cruz H is build with the classic combination of master grade Adirondack Red Spruce and a beautiful set of East Indian Rosewood for the back and sides. The top is structured with the vintage-style “advanced” X-bracing build from Adirondack and constructed with Hot Hide Glue. The Mahogany neck has a nice round shape for ease of playability. Her construction is predictably first-class, with quality materials everywhere. Top-notch tonal qualities put this babe where she belongs: the absolute top of the line! She in near mint condition.
