McIlroy A35c Cedar/ Rosewood is the perfect fingerstyle set-up. You get the warmth of the Cedar and the full, balanced sound throughout the sound spectrum. All McIlroy guitars are build with the utmost dedication of Dermot McIlroy, a master luthier who learned the craft from George Lowden. Dermot uses only high quality solid woods (AAAA and up). His soundboards and soundboard bracing come from split logs (not sawn), this gives them extra strength and tone. Every soundboard bracing is individually scalloped to develop the full sound potential. Combined with the unique McIlroy bracing pattern his guitar have vibrant tops without loss of stability.
This McIlroy A35c has the A-model body size. This Jumbo/Auditorium size is still easy to hold but with a lot of sustain and volume. The 35 number represents the tonewoods that he used: 3 for the East Indian Rosewood en 5 for the Western Red Cedar. This guitar is in excellent condition with two minor dings in the top.
