When it came time to make an exacting reproduction of the king of guitars, the fine folks at C.F. Martin happened to have one residing in their own museum, which was made in 1937. And it provided a wealth of information so that it could be reborn as the D-28 Authentic 1937. But the good folks didn’t stop there! The Aged version of the D-28 Authentic 1937 Aged includes all the goodness that comes with Martin’s Authentic Series instruments, like hide glue construction, a genuine Mahogany neck, quarter sawn and hand-scalloped X bracing. Plus, the Vintage Tone System (VTS) that ages the wood to replicate the sound of a vintage Martin. The ultra-thin aged Nitro finish is also important for the tone and looks of this beauty.
