The Martin 00-28 Modern Deluxe is a joy to play. She sounds bigger than its small size would lead you to expect, offering great balance and a focused, rich tonality. This sweetie delivers great detail when played fingerstyle, yet its dynamic range has no problem reproducing stronger attacks with a pick. The short scale and contemporary neck profile make the 00-28 Modern Deluxe easy to play, and overall, it would shine as an all-around flattop, a capable studio guitar, or just a fun guitar to play on the couch. If you haven’t experienced a fine 00, this would be a great place to start!
Compared to the fine Martin Standard Series, the Modern Deluxe Series features a torrefied Sitka Spruce top with scalloped, 1/4″ torrefied Adirondack Spruce bracing attached with natural protein glue, carbon fiber/torrefied Adirondack spruce bridge plate; short-scale neck with Vintage Deluxe profile, two-way adjustable titanium support rod, fretboard with High Performance Taper, Diamonds and Squares long pattern fretboard inlay, abalone position markers, EVO Gold frets, Liquidmetal® bridge pins, European flamed Maple binding and an Abalone script logo in the headstock.
