This 2017 Lowden F32 Original Series offers warmth, clarity, sustain, articulation and definition. Well played in and a full open sound. Lovely guitar!
The Lowden F32 is modeled after George’s original Lowden body, dating back to 1976. It has a sweet and clear voice, sounding deep and resonant. One of the words often used when describing George Lowden Guitars is “original”. His guitars have their own distinctive voice and are definitely a class in their own next to the old Martin and Gibson sound.
While strumming chords, the plain strings produce a pseudo 12-string effect and a low-mid thump helps to propel rhythm parts. Each string has equal prominence, and chord inversions and embellishments come through clearly. No part of the frequency range dominates or is overpowered. A pickup system is optional.
