Cute First Act VW Garage Master electric guitar from 2006 as part of a Volkswagen car promotion. Comes with the gig bag, cord and some other goodies. Looks cute, plays great as Slash, and John Mayer demonstrate in the VW USA promotion campaign.
The VW Garage Master is a guitar built by First Act Guitar Campaign in partnership with Volkswagen. The guitar was included with Volkswagen cars. Volkswagen initiated a campaign in 2006 in which the company gave away special edition First Act guitars along with a special series car. The stereos in these Volkswagen could be used as an amplifier for the guitar. An accompanying ad campaign featured guitarists Slash and John Mayer playing First Act guitars through the sound systems of Volkswagen automobiles.
The Custom First Act Garage Master guitar came with a plate on the back of the headstock showing the car’s VIN. They also included a nice VW/First Act embroidered heavy-duty padded nylon gig bag, a cool VW/First Act embroidered heavy-duty seat belt material guitar strap with leather ends plus and an instrument cable. These are pretty cool little guitars for something that was originally given as a freebie for buying a VW. The car is not included (LOL). This puppy is in excellent condition.
