Fender Stratocaster build in 1979 and dressed in the rare Olympic White Nitro and build with an Ash body and Maple neck and fretboard in excellent, all original condition. A classic vintage!
Fender Stratocaster with the large head, the modern logo and the string guide in 2 locations. This is the quintessential 70s Strat used by many famous guitarists like The Edge, Ritchie Blackmore, Yngwie Malmsteen, Walter Trout and Mark Knopfler just to name a few. The one with the bullet truss rod that allows you to adjust the neck from the head side without removing the neck. The neck is fitted with a 3-point neck joint plate, and hex wrench to easily adjust the neck insertion angle. The body material is white ash, which has been used as standard since around 1976. The dense Ash produces excellent sustain and solid low mids. It uses a round rosewood board where the joining surface of the maple neck and rosewood fingerboard is pasted along the radius, and it features a well-balanced and warm sound in all positions. A vintage-sounding Stratocaster that combines the clear highs typical of this era with solid mid-bass, and the sound won’t be drowned out by distortion.
The Olympic White finish has faded to that wonderful cream color. There are the expected but modest knicks and bumps, nothing too substantial. The neck is clean, no dings. A well treated guitar. Frets are in good condition, with the usual playwear on the lower frets. The plastics as you’d expect have faded a little, but there is not too much wear. Electronically, she’s also all-original. Many classic Strat tones live in these late 70s guitars. Plenty of spanky brightness with a pleasing warmer tone from the neck pickup. A great looking guitar with tone to match. Your foothold on the ladder or the perfect live foil. Comes with original claw cover and ashtray and non-original hardshell case. With only 4.35 kg / 9,59 lbs, she ain’t a lightweight, but compared to most of her siblings, she sure is. In return, she offers a solid tone and sustain like no other. She’s all original but for the case. Her condition is excellent.
