Fantastic Waterloo WL-14L, a wonderful very midrangy blues box created by the master of tone, Bill Collings. Bill rests in peace, but his guitars live on!
The Waterloo WL-14 is the flagship model of the Waterloo guitar line and the inspiration that started it all. Keeping true to the design and style of the era, this guitar has Ladder bracing.. Although ladder braced guitars are not as loud as x-braced guitars, this is an exception. Bill gave his best and made her loud and really responsive to the touch. The black suit with the white pickguard suits this little devil very well
Bill founded the Waterloo guitar line back in 2014. His vision was to recreate a depression-era guitar, a time to when there was a genuine need for soulful tone that could be coaxed from simple instruments. The blues, country, and folk music played on these instruments was made in heartfelt response to these hard times. It was music heard in work camps and barn dances, kitchens and honky-tonks, porches, street corners and churches. These musical styles became the roots of popular American music for decades to come. The Waterloo brand is all about capturing the voice and spirit of the very best depression era guitars in well-made and very playable instruments.
