The Preston Thompson OM-EIA has a gorgeous Adirondack Red Spruce top and braces as well. The bracing pattern is advanced X and Pre-war scalloped. Back and sides are wonderful Indian Rosewood. She comes with pre-war style 28 appointments and a slim gentle V-shape neck shape. She brings an amazing tone to the table: delicate, dynamic All that being said, the main appeal of this guitar is its amazing tone.
She has a superb response and a sweet, round character. The relatively shallow body provides that fast response, and has the added benefit of a great balance of bass to treble. This Orchestra Model has a 25.4 inch scale length. This longer scale gives it a little more punch and volume making this model perfect for guitarists who like flatpicking as well as fingerpicking.
