This Taylor 12-fret Grand Concert BTO acoustic/electric has a unique Sinker Redwood top that looks and sounds phenomenal. Sinker Redwood is a special wood, sliced from huge old-growth redwood logs reclaimed from the depths of Northern California rivers, where they’ve lain in many cases for more than a century. The age of this wood translates into a very tight grain structure that produces a bold, yet warm response. This translates to a mixture of body and focus on this Grand Concert model.
The back and sides are made from grafted Walnut which has a unique texture and tonal response, with a Mahogany neck and Ebony fretboard. Other features include a short scale 24 7/8” / 632 mm neck, with a Standard Carve profile, Adirondack 12-Fret bracing, an Ebony single-ring rosette, a Tusq nut and saddle and an Ebony binding. The guitar has unique purfling details, featuring a soft green color, comes with a loose pickguard that can be attached if desired. The slotted headstock has the Paua Taylor logo. She is a lightweight at 1.9kg, adding to the resonance of this beauty. Original retail price was 6,500 USD. Very easy to hold and play. Brilliant guitar in excellent condition!
