This awesome Stephen Strahm Eros model draws its inspiration from the classic Martin OM. Designed with a larger lower bout and narrow waist, she is very comfortable to play and sounds huge for a medium-sized guitar. One of the best balanced guitars I have ever heard. This Stephen Strahm Eros is build with mastergrade Malaysian Blackwood and German Spruce. Malaysian Blackwood has the smooth depth of African Blackwood but is slightly brighter overall and offers an excellent tap tone. German Spruce features exceptional stiffness together with low density, the foundation of a great guitar sound. Her sound is exceptionally well well-balanced between pure notes and power to harmonic and dynamic. Incredible sustain and an awesome low end due to the slightly thicker body and still a very sweet airy high notes. What a tone machine. She comes in a bulletproof Mainstage professional grade, hardshell fiberglass touring case. The case is hand built for this guitar, with a custom fit, color and finish. This guitar is in mint condition.
This Eros is packed with design features that only the top of the US West Coast guitar builder can : soft cream coachlining on the fingerboard, the slightly upward sweeping heel and the tapering logo free headstock, while the nut is crafted in that fat scalloped bone so familiar to Somogyi guitars. Stephen learned the art of guitar making from some of the best in the business. Amongst them is Richard Hoover, Rick Turner and Jeff Traugott. Stephen puts a lot of love, passion, dedication, sacrifice, and long hours in building his guitars. Thus, this Eros is a work of art and a tone machine in one. Brilliant!
