The Maton EGB808 Nashville is built with Sitka Spruce and Australian Blackwood and finished in a Vintage Amberburst satin finish. Strum through some classic, country chord runs, and you’d almost be forgiven for wanting to replace a J45 or Hummingbird with it in a recording as it has a similar body with a little more definition across the chord. As far as lead lines and picking goes the mid to high-mid range is so balanced and considerate that it almost matches the dynamic of your playing as if you’re being expertly mixed on the fly.
And then plug her into a DAC or a high-end acoustic amp. What a tone! The AP5 PRO pickup system really takes this guitar to the ultimate performer level. This system has been held in the highest regard for over a decade by players all over the world. It features separate Microphone and Piezo input controls to allow for blending of both microphone and piezo levels prior to sending the actively combined signals through to the master volume. Highly selective cardioid microphone system allows for much greater microphone level before feedback in live environments. This newly upgraded microphone is directly mounted to the preamp casing via an adjustable arm, which permits easy final tweaking of microphone position to suit the individual artist’s style.
