This particular Lowden GL-10C exceeded expectations in terms of visual appeal, balance and, in the guitar’s inherent design features, a natural ability to sustain without trying. The GL-10C embodies classic Lowden character, drawing from over 50 years of guitar making heritage to invite the player to explore new tonal possibilities that await.
She is build with American Mahogany chambered body with a wonderful Macassar Ebony top which look awesome. She has a great neck that plays like a ‘fretless wonder’, smooth feel in the hand due to the hand rubbed oil finish and excellent balance either with a strap or when sitting down. She is fitted with the wonderful Lollar P90 pickups. P-90 pickups are one of the most versatile single-coil pickups made. Jason designed these to sound like the original vintage pickups, but builds them with materials that won’t deteriorate over time. The single-coil pickups are cut and build in-house. These pups have a warm, full tone with the clarity and articulation and a balanced output between the neck and bridge positions along with an expressive dynamic range. On average, the neck pickup has a resistance of 8.2K and the bridge measures 9.1K. Very, very good solid body guitar from one of the world’s most respected luthiers!!
