This Lowden F50 Custom Flamed Hawaiian Koa is built with mastergrade tonewoods that we hand selected during our summer visit to the Lowden Workshop. Dan Brown gave us the tour and my eye fell on a hidden set of Koa. The flames on this set are just crazy, almost like a Bangal Tiger. The rest is history and 4 months later here she. Just awesome!! Hawaiian Koa offers a distinctive combination of lush acoustic tone and naturally stunning visual character. From a tonal point of view she delivers a vibrant midrange response with clear, articulate trebles and a warmth in the low end. And George Lowden takes this wood combination to the next level. Thus, this beauty offers the classic clear and rich Lowden tone that easily adapts to any playing styles.
And I must say this tonewood combination is special. The combination offers a crescendo of Celtic tonal flavor with a subtle undertone of lively Koa fundamental tone that is highly addictive.
