This Martin 000-42 has forward-shifted, scalloped 5/16″ bracing for an almost perfect balance in volume of low, mid and high notes. This 000-42 has a top-grade Sitka Spruce top that is more responsive than Adirondack tops you may find on most custom shop models. While Sitka doesn’t produce the same roar as Adirondack, it is far more articulate, making it an exquisite guitar for fingerstyle. The Sitka top is paired with an Indian Rosewood body that gives the guitar those rich overtones that speak to a lot of guitarists. The 000 or also called Triple-O has the shorter 24.9″ / 630 mm scale length compared to her OM sister making the tone is a little less loud but softer and sweet.
