Awesome Lowden F50c build with mastergrade Brazilian Rosewood and Sinker Redwood. A Brazilian Lowden is the crème de la crème tonemachine one can have built by the Lowden team. She comes with a comfortable soundbox bevel and delivers oh so sweet notes all over the fretboard!
This Lowden F50c Brazilian Rosewood – Sinker Redwood is built with mastergrade tonewoods. The Brazilian Rosewood is very dark-colored and straight figured wood with nice clear stripes. George Lowden only chooses the best quality of Brazilian Rosewood. The complexity of the tone, the overtones and clarity hit you immediately! Weight and stiffness make the guitar light and instant responder to light finger touch including unbelievably good three-dimensional sound qualities. Superb clarity of the treble notes. After you hit the bass strings and move up to the trebles, you are taken by the fullness of the notes.
The striped Sinker Redwood gives her a classy look. The top is made from Mastergrade Striped Sinker Redwood. These tops typically display a rich optical spectrum as the result of colors uniquely imparted from silt and the mineral-rich water. The age and size of these trees translates into a tight grain with delightful cross-grain stiffness and offers a fairly bold response, with a brilliance complemented by warm overtones similar to Cedar but with a little extra brightness and headroom. Sinker Redwood trees originate from California and are often 1000 to 2000-year-old. These trees are only used when they have fallen naturally. The ‘Sinker’ designations tells you it’s been on the banks of the river for at least 100 years. Combined with the pretty Brazilian set selected by George, she gives you an instrument that excels in almost any style.
