• Gibson Les Paul R9 Historic Collection (SOLD)

One of the best I have ever heard. From my private collection. Very hard to let go but… that’s life. She deserves playing cause that what she is really good at. Loud, resonant, woody. Nice fat 59 neck. And lightweight at 3.7kg/8.15lbs due to the Honduran Mahogany that was used at the turn of the millenium by Gibson. Pickups were replaced in 2003 with an awesome custom made set by Peter Florance’ 59 Voodoo. Original pickups are still there of course. if you want them changed just let me know. Electronics have been upgraded with RS Guitarworks set with CTS 500k pots and caps. She comes with all the case candy. Inspiring guitar! In the flame department this one is definately a looker. Super nice 3D-flames at any angle. The finish is Heritage Cherry Sunburst, probably the most favoured/wanted color. Her condition is excellent. She has some buckle marks on the back. The lacquer start to look lightly aged given the fact that this babe is 16 years old already. It’s the Tom Murhpy effect but now by natural causes. Comes with original brown gibson case, the Certificate of Authenticity and all the case candy that came with it back in 2001. Extremely good Les Paul! She will not disappoint you!
