Martin D-28 East Indian Rosewood - Sitka Spruce (1978)

This is an outstanding guitar with all the punch you expect in an older Martin and even better: she is in very good condition. Nicely aged Sitka Spruce top and a beautiful straight grain East Indian Rosewood back and sides. The action is 1,75mm on the 12th fret on the low E. She has the standard 1 11/16 inch nut and an Ebony fingerboard and bridge. The rosewood bridge plate is in excenlent condition and holds the string like new. She is very easy to plays and has a fantastic big open woody sound with strong volume. Frets show honest playwear and are still good to go for many years. She has the expected finish checking and the usual nicks and dings show a well loved and played guitar. As most vintage Martin guitars the black pickguard shunk over the year and thus a top crack is inevitable.

This one was proffesionaly repaired by our luthier. Finish and Grover tuners are original. Comes with the original Martin hardshell case which is in excellent condition. First owner guitar. Warm sounding guitar with the classic vintage Martin D-28 sound. Click for a sound impression with Karlijn Langendijk on the YouTube logo.
