Making the Diamond-28

Rozawood and Diamond Guitars introduced the Diamond-28 at the Musik Messe in Frankfurt. The idea and the concept were received with great admiration from other builders and the public. Richard Hoover from Santa Cruz admired her and...even. Chris Martin himself paid us a visit. After I met him at the Martin stand he visited the Rozawood booth and was moved by the beauty and quality of the instrument!

The idea
Diamond Guitars is all about the best of the best and the Diamond-28 is our interpretation of the 1934 D-28. In 1934 the Martin Guitar Company officially offered the D–28 with the 14–fret neck. This D-model is the world's most successful acoustic guitar.
In search for a luthier I met Roman Zajicek from Rozawood (www.rozawood.cz) in the summer of 2010. I was impressed by his approach to guitar making: pure craftsmanship combined with an artist's approach and the heart of a musician. Click here for the interview. The question 'who should build the Diamond-28' was answered.

Diamond Guitars'  interpretation is handbuild by master luthier Roman Zajicek. We named her Diamond-28. She is all about world class craftsmanship, artistic power, mastergrade woods, great tone, smooth playability and a beautiful body. And to complete this special edition we
crowned her with a genuine diamond on the headstock! Now exclusively for sale at Diamond Guitars!  You choose which mastergrade back and sides wood to combine with a top made of 80 year old alpine spruce. The Daimond-28 comes in old growth Brazilian, Madagascar or Indian Rosewood or Cuban Mahogany!  You can also choose various body sizes, specify your personal neck dimensions and complete her with a pick guard of your choice. Whatever suits your personal taste.
